To maximise availability of beneficial compounds, a dual-extract process is used to draw out the alcohol soluble and water soluble components. An even ratio of fruit body and mycelium is used to give you a full-spectrum of beneficial compounds, as some are only found in fruit bodies while others are only found in the mycelium.

For daily consumption to improve overall health, wellbeing and sleep we recommend taking 3 capsules (1.2 grams) of our Reishi extract each day.
This study found consumption of 5.4 grams a day of Reishi extract for 8 weeks to be safe and well tolerated and helped improve symptoms of those suffering fatigue.
If you are thinking of taking a larger dose than 2 capsules per day in order to treat something specific, we advise you to consult with your GP.

If you are taking medication, it is always advised to consult with your GP before taking a new supplement.
Reishi extracts could have an adverse effect when interacting with other medications. For example, Reishi extract helps to lower blood glucose levels. If you are already on diabetes medication, taking both could bring your blood glucose levels too low.

Side effects are rarely reported in scientific studies and Reishi is deemed a very safe dietary supplement.
However, as with any supplement there are occasional reactions. These side effects could include nausea, stomach pain or skin rash. It is always recommended to start with a small dose (1 capsule or a small amount of powder extract). Studies show Reishi mushroom extract to be safe and well tolerated even at high doses.
There is also a low risk of being allergic to Reishi to be aware of. If you have a known mushroom allergy then we advise you to not take our products.

You might not feel the benefits immediately but you may notice you get a better nights sleep after taking Reishi extract. It can take two weeks for the Reishi extracts beneficial compounds to be incorporated into your system. After two weeks you should experience the benefits of Reishi but you may feel the effects sooner. Some health benefits from taking Reishi e.g. improved liver function may take longer experience full benefits.
For best results, an effective dose should be taken daily.
